The Craps Table

On first glance, the craps table looks more complicated that it really is. The table and the crowd of noisy UK bingo players tend to intimidate many new craps players. The table layout is duplicated on each side, which is why it looks so complicated. The center section is where the Boxperson sits. The layout in front of him has the Hardways and One Roll bets. The rest of the bets are at the ends of the table.

These are the Pass Line, and Don’t Pass, the Come and Don’t Come and the Field and Place bets. There is a Dealer at each end of the table facing the players. Most of the odds information is printed on the felt so the free bingo player can easily see the payouts for each kind of bet. A craps table can usually accommodate eight players. If you want to join a craps game, walk up to the table and take any open position.  If there aren’t any, wait your turn. One of the players around the table will be the Shooter.

This means it is his turn to roll the dice. The Shooter must throw the dice across the table lengthwise so that they bounce off the far casino game table side. The purpose of this method is to defeat various dice techniques and rolling techniques. The Shooter changes with each series and rotates clockwise around the table. There will be a place for each player to keep his chips and also a place off the table for the players’ drinks.
